Testimonials

I decided to do something out of my comfort zone, whilst doing something active and exploring some incredible scenery. Mark was instantly welcoming and friendly, everything was organised meticulously and on time! Big ✅ He’s a really interesting guy and incredibly knowledgeable of fitness, diet and nutrition, which we discussed at length during the ride. We covered a fair distance and Mark encouraged me to push past my imaginary fitness level! The E-bike certainly helped with this and assisted in getting up some of the Chiltern hills without the need for an oxygen tank at the top!! We stopped for a delicious lunch at a quirky little barn which was lovely, and then returned for a coffee and a bit of a sugar rush at the end of the ride. I’d describe my fitness levels as fairly moderate, especially where cardio is concerned and the E-bike gave me the confidence to push on and do more, so much so I’m going to meet up with Mark again to test some out to purchase and benefit from his knowledge on what to buy! Right now I’m soaking in a bath of Epsom salts to ease my aching muscles and thoroughly looking forward to joining Mark again on another experience. Times are testing at the moment with the COVID situation and today was just what I needed to pull me out of the pit of despair and self pity! A million thanks Mark, you don’t know quite the difference you made today!

First time on an E-bike

Seventeen seasoned cyclist of varied ability set out to conquer the Pyrenees. Biarritz to Perpignan in 5 days, 424 miles and 49,000ft of climbing – it was a real challenge for the riders but a huge challenge and responsibility for Mark too. His support was epic, his stories the stuff of legend and the man can cycle a bit too! Humour, patience, camaraderie and his shaved legs combine with a real understanding of what it takes to safely manage a cycling tour whilst enabling those involved to give their best and learn from him and the experience generally. An amazing trip and we raised £19,000 for 3 worthy charities. What more could you want – highly recommended.

I’ve ridden with Mark for about 8 years – as well as being super-fit, he is what I call a ‘no-nonsense’ rider; come rain or shine, uphill or down, he just gets the miles done, no dramas.  Wherever he rides he seeks out the best routes – he knows The Chilterns and surrounding areas like the back of his hand. He takes his riding serious but always retains a sense of humour and is a lot of fun at the coffee stop – but watch out he doesn’t steal your cake!

I have known Mark for 15 years approximately and we have ridden together often also doing a trip to ride the Milan-San Remo event.
Mark is a great guy and very knowledgeable about the passion of cycling.
I thoroughly recommended Mark to be your first choice for your event wherever it may be to organise and support you.

I have ridden with Mark for over 10 years. In the UK and Europe. Over that time he has always been impeccably turned out on his bike. Immaculate matching kit and spotless well maintained bikes. Mark knows all the roads in the local Chiltern hills and often leads us to climbs we didn’t even know existed. Mark tells me he rides 250 miles a week and I can well believe that is true, given his fitness level and dedication to the sport above all else. He is one of the most organised and thoughtful people I have ever met, never riding off the front of a bunch, always handy if there is a mechanical problem, the first to get the coffee and cakes in and always inclusive when organising rides and trips. Mark is a natural leader yet still a “people person” and I would recommend anyone to try his services.

I’ve been on a few of the Broomwagon Cycling Trips and it’s clear Mark’s organisational skills and attention to detail really make for smoothly run cycling adventures. Mark takes all the hassle out of the trips which leaves us riders to just enjoy the riding. Looking forward to the next trip.

Mark was tasked to collect 15 bikes in Paris and transport them back to London. For various reasons, Mark was super patient when our plan didn’t quite go to plan, the bikes were returned to us in perfect condition (ie. They were wrapped in blankets) and, was well prepped for dealing with any customs related issues.

Excellent lift of 15 bikes from Paris to London......, Ruffer UK Ltd.

I recently embarked on a group cycling trip from London to Paris. The support provided by Mark at Broom Wagon Cycle Tours was superb. From start to finish, his commitment to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience was evident. Our overnight bags were waiting for us in Paris, hassle free, even though for various reasons we weren’t all able to arrive at the same time. And our bikes were then returned to London seamlessly the next day, where we picked them up, allowing us to travel back on the train totally relaxed in the knowledge that they would be well looked after.

Broom Wagon Cycle Tours played a pivotal role in making our cycling adventure unforgettable. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking flexible, supportive, and professional cycling support.

Seamless support from London-Paris., Ruffer UK Ltd.

Our group enjoyed a fantastic few hours of E-bike riding on Saturday guided by Mark, through the beautiful Chiltern lanes and villages, complete with pub-lunch stop. Mark was able to adapt the length and shape of the tour route to suit our ability (despite our deceptive greying hair and bulging waist-line appearances, he confirmed us as ‘upper segment’) and so dished out extra some nice hill climbs and downhill whizzes. The E-bikes were a dream. Highly recommended!

Mark Griffiths
Broom Wagon an absolute Gentleman and a guy who put himself out to help two complete strangers. He’s a legend !!!!!

Just feel I need to write a feedback about this gentleman.

Just a quick recap of the position my brother and I were left in whilst in Italy. We had broken down in our car and had No way back to the Uk! We had to take a taxi back to our hotel and then the worry to sort out our problem with the recovery people. Our car would never be ready to leave the country in two days time.
We had to find our own way back to the Uk with two bikes and all of our luggage.
We were taking part in the Maratona sportive the next day !!!

Whilst waiting for a phone call from the breakdown company
I was just browsing the Maratona social media and saw the Broom wagon post.

Our situation
We had No way to get back to the Uk in two days time !
No way to get our bikes back to the Uk !
No way to get all of our luggage back to the Uk!
Umm the sportive is happening tomorrow and there’s was not much time to sort out our issues.

Whilst looking at the BroomWagons post again on the Maratona social media site.
I clicked onto the phone number and decided to give this stranger a call.

I spoke to a gentleman called Mark and he came across as a very calm welcoming person.
I said “ we have two bikes that we need to get back to the Uk. Would you have any space? “
His reply “ Yes that should be No problem !”
I said “ we are stranded in Italy due to a breakdown and I asked Mark, I’m going to be a bit cheeky here but would you have space for two guys and all their luggage to get back to the Uk?”
His reply “ umm I think we could make that work!”
Wow I couldn’t believe that this stranger was going to be our SAVIOUR !!!!
Why would someone, who is running their own bike transfer company and why would he put himself out to help two complete strangers.
I will tell you why
Because he Cares !
Not only for us, but for all your bikes that he transports to different countries.
We’ve seen it with our own eyes behind the scenes!!!
The care Mark and his team put into loading all your bikes. They do not rush anything whilst moving your bikes. They treat them as they were their own.
I just can’t speak highly enough of this company.
If I ever choose to travel again to another sportive and need to transfer our bikes, we will definitely use the Broom wagon.
Friends are made for life through the Broom Wagon and Mark thank you again for taking the time two help two complete strangers.
